I’ve despaired of finding a binder that works effectively and doesn’t drive me to sensory madness with scratchy fabric or odd seams. Finally, I’ve found THE ONE.
About me:
My goal has been to be able to wear men’s shirts that fit my narrow shoulders and skinny chicken neck. That means fitting my G-cup chest into an XS dress shirt: yikes.
My underbust measures 30”, and the widest part of my chest without a binder is 38”. I ordered an M, and it comfortably compresses and redistributes my chest down to 34.5”! PERFECT fit! I look like I’ve got some fairly serious pecs, but that’s all — no button gapping, no wrinkles, no round shapes. And as a bonus, the gentle compression all the way down makes my hips a little smoother, and the outer fabric doesn’t cling to my shirts. Guess I’ll just have to go to the gym and get my arms to match!
I have some pretty intense sensory issues with regard to scratchy fabric, tags and seams, and compression that is overly intense in one area. This binder has none of those issues. The compresssion is smooth all the way down, so it doesn’t make my ribs or stomach feel constricted. The inside is cotton, thin but plush feeling like the inside of a sweatshirt. It’s actually comforting to wear, like a hug. There’s no extra material to bother me at the seams, and the finishing of the fabric edges is very minimal and soft. I especially appreciate the arm holes: they’re cut just right provide enough coverage but also avoid cutting into my tissue at the armpits. Right now I’m flopped on the couch, and this thing is still comfortable!
Obviously this is meant to wear under clothing, but it’s nicely made enough that I feel fine hanging around in it. Kinda sporty, the black looks good, and again — so comfortable.
Overall I couldn’t possibly be more impressed with the design, construction, and finishing on this binder. I’ll be buying another in white for sure, and recommending it to everyone.
